Beata Biega

Since 2010 she`s been PhD student at the University of Wroclaw, where she`s studying the Environmental Protection. Her dissertation`s titled  ”The isotopic analyzes of δ13C as a tool to trace methanogenic pathways „, which is performed in Department of Applied Geology. In 2010 she graduated The Interdisciplinary Study of Environmental Protection at the University of Wroclaw (MA thesis: „Determination of the optimal conditions for the methane fermentation of sediments from Włocławski and Sulejowski Dam Reservoirs”  - the research was supported by the Polish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, grant No R1205602).

In 2011 she received the scholarship „Entrepreneurial PhD student – an investment in the innovative development of the region” co-financed by the European Union (OP HC 8.2.2) and “The Student Scholarship Program of the City of Wroclaw”.

During the academic year 2009/2010 she was taking the Scholarship of the Polish Minister of Higher Education and Science. Whole the study she was actively involved in Student Scientific Research Group of Environmental Protection (University of Wroclaw). Since 2011 she has been a member of the PhD Council at the University of Wroclaw.

Her interests are focused on renewable energy, especially biogas production, as well as waste management.
